Felicia Browne: Unofficial War Artist

Collaboration with Tate Britain

Felicia Browne: Unofficial War Artist: a film made with TATE Britain as part of their Animating the Archives series. filmed partly in my studio last Summer.

"Through her archive, this film uncovers the work and untimely death of Felicia Browne, a young artist who lost her life in the first months of the Spanish Civil War in 1936. This event reverberates through the work of artist Sonia Boue, here reflecting on the significance of British volunteers, like Browne, who helped republican exiles like her father."
