Slaughtering the sacred cows: a reflection

Days before the first national lockdown, Anna Berry hosted a public conference, Disability Arts: Slaughtering the Sacred Cows at Midlands Arts Centre (MAC), Birmingham as part of her DASH Future Curators Residency. The conference took place alongside the MAC exhibition Art and Social Change: The Disability Arts Movement, also curated by Berry. Panellists included Aaron Williamson, Aidan Moesby, Trish Wheatley, Sonia Boué, Tom Shakespeare, and Manick Govinda. Boué’s article for Disability Arts Online reflects on the themes raised.
