Sonia Boué's body of multiform postmemory work is at the contemporary forefront of a tradition of visual artists responding to the Spanish Civil War in the UK. Works include a BBC Radio 4 programme The Art of Now: Return to Catalonia with Overtone Productions, and a film collaboration with Tate Britain Felicia Browne: Unofficial War Artist (see below).  Sonia was also commissioned to make the short film Dual Identity (see in Postmemory films above) for the Barea Archive at the Bodleian Library. Between 2013 and 2019 Sonia created six series of paintings including the Arts Council England funded project Through an Artist's Eye, and her solo exhibition ¡Buenos Días, Dictator!  You can enter each gallery by clicking on one of the images below.
